Best in the Desert Hendersen 250

by Tammy Campbell on 12/06/10

This past weekend Campbell Racing's Shannon and Nick Campbell raced the last race of the BITD season in Hendersen, NV.  Qualifing was on Thursday and if you haven't watched the video please do. You can see it on Facebook(Campbell Racing page), Youtube, Pirate4x4, or Race-dezert.  I don't like rollovers and thank goodness driver, co-driver and car are all ok. The guys still qualified in 8th position. On Saturday their race started at 12:45. Starting next to the Frietas car Shannon shot out and never looked back. At about mile 50 they had to change a rear flat but were able to get back on course pretty fast.  On the 2nd lap they stopped at pit2 for fuel, change out flat tire and put on the KC's. Waiting back at main pit Nick called out #1554 @ race mile 60 so we headed to the finish. It wasn't long before we could hear the distinct sound of the LS6 coming through the mountains. Casey Folks greeted the guys with a thumbs up and let them know they were physically the 6th car through. As always Shannon said in his interview his "junk" stayed together!!!! The final standings were 4th in class and 9th overall putting them in 6th place for the series in Class 1/1500. I'd like to say "Thank You" to all of our sponsors, family and friends for very fun and impressive 2010 season -in the rocks and in the desert.

Gilbert Day's Parade 2010

by Tammy Campbell on 11/14/10

This past weekend Campbell Ent/Campbell Racing participated in the Gilbert Day's Parade. Its our 4th time in the parade and each year we just have more fun.  I think the security/police are the only ones that don't enjoy the rumble of an LS6 or the smell of burning rubber! LOL  This year I walked the parade trying to take pictures and video it was great to see so many familiar faces. Wayland and Bailey each drove one of the Promod rockcrawlers. Afterwards everyone went back to the shop for some Carne Asada, chicken, hamburgers and all the sides. It was a great day. I posted pictures on Facebook on the Campbell Racing page.
